Thomas, the answer is, unfortunately, not easily seen. The answer lies in the creation of wealth and mutually beneficial cooperation and trade to build such wealth. If there is no monopoly on the use of force, then there is balance. To achieve such requires that individuals have a choice to easily and freely move from one defense company/guild/cooperative to another. Once this is achieved, then wars will cease as the cost of war cannot be met. Any defense organisation that attempts war shall find that it's membership will collapse and without a membership, it has no revenue excepting what it can steal as a rogue self-destructing entity. Once we have a society that does not war, does not displace populations, and does not have the ability to destroy wealth, then wealth can build up and increase radically. At this stage, the natural world can and will be saved/preserved. A diverse civil society of wealthy people will, even as they try to do today with far less wealth, work together to protect natural resources and preserve natural diversity.

In a society wherein individuals struggle to put food on the table, we are driven to destroy in the name of feeding our children. Our entire society has been turned on it's head. We are not able to invest as the government sets interest rates far to low to encourage savings. It does so to encourage fascism - the spending of all wealth as quickly as possible so as not to lose the value of the money we hold to the relentless inflation they create.

In short, my contention is that human nature is not flawed. There are merely sociopathic elements in society that have taken over the machinery of the economy and they use it for power. Under their influence human nature, must fight for self preservation and inadvertently destroys diversity for the benefit of these sociopaths. Take away their power and human nature will restore and preserve diversity.

Good reading. Could you delve more into "it will also cease the radical destruction of the natural world and increase its beauty and diversity. " though? Being an environmental scientist I am constantly thinking of the relationship between Libertarianism and the environment. How do you see this relationship through the language of your quote above?

Thanks, and keep it up.

How true that no one but ourselves is looking out for our best interests. We should never forget that! It's why I manage my own investments. Also true that you can't trust history. There is so much out there about what the stock markets is going to do based on past history. But that is not a good way to make future decisions!

As the United States central bank prints and prints paper dollars, the world's population will wake up and buy silver to protect themselves, JP Morgan must be going down...time to buy silver and protect your wealth

Not quite sure what you mean Kyle. My reasoning is that, as debt is monetized and also via government deficit spending, we ultimately get high levels of inflation. Inflation, means that whatever you may have of value, excepting things like precious metals, loses value and you are made poorer. Hence debt monetization aka "quantitative easing" is a surreptitious means of taking out of people's pockets. Necessarily this has a much bigger impact on the poor than it does on the rich.

I agree with 99% of what you're saying except for the last part about stealing from the homeless...9 times out of 10 they have every chance in the world to contribute to society.

Now stealing from the average Joe who has a job and pays taxes to the government...now that I can see!

Humanity needs to wake up - all our money is controlled by the banks and even legit banks have to obey the directives of the national banks. so far as I've seen all national banks are controlled by megalomaniacs - hey if you were a megalomaniac, wouldn't you try to control the big banks? Of course you would. so even if they weren't built by such people to start with (and I think they were), then they've certainly come to be run by them at this stage of the game.

What's the way out? A new system of money.

The big banks issue and control the money supply via government decree.

The only legit solution?: Government MUST be convinced to abolish legal tender laws that give monopoly power to the big banks. Free markets will bring sound money if monopoly money (pun intended) is not enforced by the state.
