Former MP Terry Martin was found guilty today in a Hobart court for having sex with a 12 year-old girl who was prostituted out by her mum as well as producing child exploitation material (aka, photographing child porn of his sexual encounter with the 12 year-old).

And get this, No jail time was handed down to him by the court, all he got was a suspended sentence backdating to November 22nd, when he was first taken into custody.

In summary: A GUILTY CHILD MOLESTER, WHO RAPED A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL AND PRODUCED CHILD PORN GETS NO JAIL TIME OR PUNISHMENT AT ALL!?!?!

But why are we so surprised?

Terry Martin was a former MP,  he was in  position of power in Tasmania as a member of the government in which he undoubtedly made a high wage and had a lot of powerful contacts.  Terry Martin misused that power and position and thought he could get away with child rape, and you know what? – He DID.

Even today his influence has payed off for him and he has gotten away with one of the worst crimes of all. Ask yourself this, if somebody else, not a former MP was convicted of such a crime, do you think the judge would have passed down the same sentence, If you raped a child and produced child porn, would a judge let you walk free?

Of course they wouldn’t! – If you don’t think politicians are nothing but immoral scum, fighting for positions in power in society so they can get away such crimes then I hope this is a wake up call for you.

The State exists so that power hungry human beings can manipulate the system to suit their desires, and its about time we all started taking a good hard look at our society and realising that our government does nothing to help us at all, but instead only helps the people who are in power, if not for our sakes, then for the sake of the poor innocent 12year-old girl who was raped, and for all the other girls who might find themselves in the same position in the future.
